Do I really need no API key at all?
Correct. Traducto ships with two translation engines that are free to use out of the box — Google Translate's public endpoint and the MyMemory API. No account, no credit card, no key to paste. If one engine is busy, Traducto automatically retries with the other.
Is Traducto a Google Translate plugin for WordPress?
Traducto uses Google Translate's free endpoint (with MyMemory as a fallback) as its translation engine, so you get Google-quality translations without an API key or a Google Cloud account. Unlike the classic Google Translate website widget, translations are generated server-side and saved on your own site as real HTML — so search engines can index every language, and you can edit any string.
Does it work with Divi, Elementor or my theme?
Yes. In Full Page mode Traducto translates the complete rendered page, so anything your theme or page builder outputs — Divi, Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, Bricks, Beaver Builder — is covered, including headers, footers, menus and widgets. No extra setup.
Will it slow down my WordPress site?
No. Pages in the original language are never touched. A translated page is only translated live the very first time it is requested; every string is then stored in your own database and served instantly. Run the Pre-translate tool once and even that first visit is instant.
Can I fix a translation I don't like?
That's the whole point of the Translation Manager. Search for the string, click Edit, save — your version is used everywhere that text appears. You can also mark strings as Ignored (brand names, addresses) so they always stay in the original language.
What happens when my license expires?
Traducto Premium keeps working exactly as before, and your visitors never notice anything. You simply stop receiving updates and support until you renew.
